Rent Accountant for Real Estate Company
Do you want to take on an important and central role in rent administration and be a key person in a real estate company's finance function? We are currently looking for an experienced and self-driven Rent Accountant for a 6-month consulting assignment – For the right person, there is a possibility that the assignment will transition into a permanent position with the client. Here you will work closely with both the finance team and the business in a role where accuracy, integrity, and quality are in focus.
About the Role
As a Rent Accountant, you are responsible for the correct handling of lease agreements, invoicing, payments, and other administration related to rented properties. The role has a significant impact on cash flow and process quality and involves close collaboration with the finance department, asset management, and external tenants. You will report to the Head of Finance and work in an organization that values structure, responsibility, and the development of work methods and systems.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will among other things:
- Ensure correct handling of lease agreements including invoicing, follow-up, and reconciliation with accounting
- Be responsible for debt collection, bad debt, and other re-invoicing
- Conduct annual rent index adjustments
- Develop rent administration and contribute to strengthening the rent function
- Coordinate work with the finance team and asset management organization
- Report to the Head of Finance
Suitable Background
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least a high school education and several years of experience in rent administration, or a bachelor's degree in finance and at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience in rent administration/rent accounting
- Experience in customer contact, especially with tenants
- Good IT skills and preferably experience with Vitec Hyra and 3L/Vitec Ekonomi
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
